Lazio vs Genoa Predictions

• Lazio have won five of their last six games, only losing to Juventus in that run
• Genoa are winless in six Serie A matches, losing four times in that miserable sequence
• Lazio have been leading at half-time in all but one of their seven wins this season

Lazio likely to continue fantastic form

After finishing seventh in Serie A last term, Lazio will be hoping to be closer to the top four this time around and Marco Baroni’s men have made a decent start towards that goal, winning half of their opening eight games. 

They seem to be improving with each passing week, though, winning five of their last six games in all competitions, and should prove too strong for Genoa, who find themselves in the bottom three. 

In contrast to Lazio, Genoa seem to have regressed this term. Despite finishing 11th last season, Alberto Gilardino’s side have opened their league campaign by taking just six points from the first 24 available, with pressure rapidly building on the legendary Italian forward. 

Hosts can cruise to victory

Given the form of both sides, the points look extremely likely to remain in Rome when the pair clash on Sunday, with a comfortable victory on the cards for the hosts. 

Genoa are winless in six games – a run which includes four losses, including a defeat to Serie A basement boys Venezia – and they are unlikely to put up much of a fight in the Italian capital. 

Lazio have been leading at half-time in all but one of their seven victories this season and can repeat that feat when landing three points on Sunday.
