Manchester City vs Norwich Predictions
Who needs Sergio Aguero? Manchester City’s star striker bagged an incredible five goals against Newcastle in the game before his injury set in, but City haven’t let his absence stop them.
They beat Bournemouth 5-1 in the next match, with Sevilla losing to them next. A dull goalless draw against Manchester United came last weekend, but they made up for this with a 5-1 thrashing of Crystal Palace in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday.
This makes it six games without defeat for Manchester City, with their last loss being the shock 4-1 loss to Spurs.
Unsurprisingly, this form leaves them at the top of the Premier League table with a 22 point tally from their opening ten games. But with Arsenal level on points with them they will want to keep the good form going to try and build a lead up.
They have an excellent chance to do this on Saturday as they host a struggling Norwich side. The newly promoted side haven’t won any of their last five matches in all competitions, with their last three Premier League games ending in defeat.
They enjoyed a fairly good start to the season, but their recent downturn in fortunes has seen them slip dangerously close to the Premier League relegation zone. Their nine point tally puts them in 16th position.
One thing you can’t accuse them of is being boring though. Both teams have scored in six of Norwich’s last eight games in all competitions.
Manchester City go one better than their opponents in this one as well though, with nine of their last ten games seeing both sides hit the back of the net.
It certainly seems that the City defence suffers from a bit of complacency when they are ahead, and this makes odds of 8/5 for a Manchester City win and Both Teams to Score look excellent value.
