NBA Accumulator Tip
The Suns could be without Kevin Durant tonight when they wrap up their 4-game road trip in Oklahoma City. When these teams last faced off on November 15, the Suns were also without Durant and it led to just 83 points in a 16-point loss. I don’t see the Suns generating enough offense to combat Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and I’ll lay the points with the home team.
Philly have won five of their last seven and their defeats came against the Celtics and Nuggets during that run. The Sixers edged out Dallas in their last home game and can follow that up by beating inconsistent Miami, who are 5-6 over their last 11 games and have four defeats in their last six on the road.
With players beginning to make their way back from injury such as Zion Williamson and CJ McCollum, New Orleans lost to Dallas 137-136, Boston 118-116, and then had the 12-point loss to Denver. In the NBA it is difficult to beat any team back-to-back. I believe tonight is a good opportunity for New Orleans to take advantage of a Denver Nuggets team that only sports a 12-11 record against the spread at home and 24-25-1 overall. Williamson managed to score only 14 points in 28 minutes played on Monday. I expect a better effort from the Pelicans star against the Nuggets who will be without Aaron Gordon to help stop the Pelicans dominate forward.
Atlanta just ended an 8-game losing streak, while the Spurs are 1-4 SU in their last 5 games. So neither team is in good shape, but with Trae Young going for 34 points in back-to-back games I am more comfortable with backing the home team here. San Antonio just acquired De’Aaron Fox from Sacramento, it might take him some time to fit into their offensive schemes. Until they figure it out, let’s stay away from them. Back Atlanta.
