Norway vs Slovenia Predictions
- Both teams have scored in four of Slovenia’s last five Nations League matches
- Both teams have scored in five of Norway’s last seven internationals
- Four of Slovenia’s last seven matches have ended 1-1
Goals to flow in crunch clash in Oslo
These two are becoming regular rivals in the Nations League and it has been a pretty even series so far, with the four meetings since 2018 featuring one win apiece and a pair of draws.
However, Norway are a rising force on the international stage with Manchester City phenomenon Erling Haaland and Arsenal ace Martin Odegaard amongst their shining lights and they are odds-on to make the most of home advantage at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo.
Norway were 2-1 winners over Austria in Oslo when last in action in the Nations League in September and, even in the absence of the injured Odegaard, will be hopeful of solidifying their place in Group B3.
They do look short enough in the 90-minute betting, though, given Slovenia are unbeaten in 12 internationals and they showed their quality at this summer’s European Championships, holding both England and Portugal to draws.
In Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, who netted a hat-trick in a 3-0 victory over Kazakhstan in their most recent Nations League encounter last month, Slovenia have their own powerful forward and it could make for an entertaining encounter.
Familiar foes may be difficult to separate
Both teams have scored in four of Slovenia’s last five Nations League fixtures and two of the last three meetings between this pair have seen the same outcome occur.
Norway, in contrast, have seen both teams score in five of their last seven matches and, having missed out on qualifying for the European Championships, they will be keen to make up for lost time and showcase their talents.
Correct-score punters should consider a 1-1 draw, with four of Slovenia’s last seven internationals ending that way. Two of the last three meetings have also ended as draws.
