Poland vs Serbia Predictions

Poland put in some excellent performances during their qualification campaign for Euro 2016. They were the top scorers in qualifying with 33 goals from their ten matches, 13 of which went to the top individual scorer in qualifying; Robert Lewandowski.

Lewandowski helped Poland towards impressively high scoring matches against Gibraltar and Georgia, with a total of 24 goals being scored in four matches against these two teams. This saw them finish 2nd in their group, only a point behind World Champions Germany.

Since then Poland have played two international friendlies, beating Iceland 4-2 and Czech Republic 3-1 to continue their impressive form. They have won four of their last five matches and are on a ten match unbeaten streak at home, seven of which have been victories.

Serbia had a shocking qualifying campaign, finishing 4th in Group I with just four points after ten matches. They did suffer a three point deduction, but even a return of seven points wouldn’t have been enough to secure them a top three position.

They have lost four of their last six and visited Czech Republic in a friendly last time out and travelled back home after being beaten 4-1. Away from home they have lost four of their last five, with their only win being against minnows Albania.

This makes a Poland win very likely, and considering their form and the way they have dismantled in form, good quality sides such as Iceland and Czech Republic I think odds of 21/20 for a Poland Win are incredibly good value. I’m going for a 3-1 correct score prediction at 18/1 too.
