Sevilla looking to keep run going

Sevilla’s home form has pulled them out of the desperate hole they found themselves in at the start of the year, when relegation looked a serious possibility.

Jorge Sampaoli’s side have now won seven of their last eight fixtures across all competitions at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, including La Liga victories over Almeria, Elche, Cadiz and Mallorca.

That’s a stark contrast to their form prior to the turn of the year, when they went winless on home soil, so they have certainly turned the corner, helped by Youssef En-Nesyri netting six times already in 2023.

Celta looking to buck the trend

The visitors actually head to Seville in good form, given they are unbeaten in six league matches, although three of them have ended all square.

Celta have a terrible record at this ground though, where they are winless in seven trips since 2015, losing on five occasions.

They also don’t have the best of away records this season, losing six of their 13 away matches on the road, including four defeats to teams in the bottom half of the table.
