West Ham United to Win

Reason for tip

West Ham have picked up four points from the last six available and there have been signs of improvement in recent performances. The Hammers have lost one of their last five fixtures on home soil and five of their last six meetings with Brighton have ended all square.

West Ham United 2-1

Reason for tip

West Ham have scored exactly two goals in three of their last four home matches and they could keep things tight against Brighton who are winless in four.

Tomas Soucek To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

The beanpole Hammers midfielder has scored four times this season, and having bagged two in his last five outings, could continue his warm streak against a shaky looking Brighton defence.

West Ham United vs Brighton Predictions

  • West Ham are unbeaten in five of their last six home meetings with Brighton.
  • Brighton have scored in all but one of their 19 matches in all competitions this season.
  • The Seagulls have conceded nine goals across their last four fixtures.

Hammers can land a blow on Brighton

West Ham eased the pressure on under-fire boss Julen Lopetegui with four points from their last two matches, and the Hammers’ revival could continue with a win over off-colour Brighton.

The prediction is for a rare home win in this fixture for West Ham who have failed to win any of their last six fixtures in East London against the Seagulls.

However, five of those matches ended in a draw and although the stalemate may be worth keeping on side, pushing for a West Ham win may pay off.

Brighton are winless in four fixtures and have slipped to ninth in the Premier League following Sunday’s damaging 3-1 home loss to Crystal Palace.

Seagulls in a flap

That derby defeat to Palace came as a huge shock to Brighton at the weekend and they may struggle to lift themselves for this tricky test.

The Seagulls’ only response in that clash was an own goal from Eagles defender Marc Guehi and their record on trips to West Ham isn’t particularly great.

Just two wins in nine visits to East London have been claimed by the south coast side but a lively contest looks likely with goals set to flow.

Both teams have scored in 13 of Albion’s last 14 matches so a 2-1 home win looks the way to go for correct score punters.

No doubting Tomas

West Ham have dug deep in their last couple of matches and giant Czech midfielder Tomas Soucek has played his part with two goals in his last five outings.

His tally is up to four for the campaign and he may be worth backing to increase that number with Brighton looking particularly vulnerable at the back.

Soucek is a threat at set pieces and he looks a value bet to make his mark against a Seagulls side who have conceded nine goals across their last four outings.
