West Ham United vs Crystal Palace Predictions
- West Ham have won each of their last four games
- Crystal Palace have lost four of their last five
- The Eagles have been beaten in all but one of their meetings with top-half teams
West Ham on fine run
West Ham picked up their fourth win on the spin in midweek, with a 1-0 victory away to TSC. The Hammers have now win four from four in Europe, securing their progress into the knockout round of the Europa League as they chase another European trophy.
David Moyes has lifted them up to ninth in the Premier League with a couple of recent wins and they’ll hope to keep the good form going in Sunday’s meeting with Crystal Palace.
Eagles struggling to take off
While West Ham are on the up, things have taken a turn for Palace. The visitors have lost four of their last five matches, while they’ve won once across their last six. A 2-1 loss to Luton last weekend was a blow for a team who target maximum points against the promoted sides to get them half-way to safety.
The Eagles need to focus against the strugglers, as they tend to find things tougher against the league’s top 10. With four defeats from five meetings with the league’s top half so far this term, the Eagles are up against it in this visit to the London Stadium.
West Ham have won three of their four home meetings with sides below them and they can down a Palace side who have lost nine of their last 16 clashes with fellow London sides. Back the Hammers to keep their winning run going with a victory this weekend.
Soucek is one to watch
A key man behind West Ham’s recent good run has been Tomas Soucek. The Czech midfielder made his mark early in his spell with the Hammers, scoring 10 times in 2020/21 before cooling off.
However, Soucek looks back to his best in front of goal, as he has four strikes in 12 games this term. He’s been a key presence of late, both for his club and for the Czech Republic. He heads into this weekend’s game having scored in five straight outings for club and country, so that confidence makes him a standout anytime goalscorer selection at a great price.
